Issues
These are some of the issues and campaigns which matter most to me.
Politicians often define themselves in terms of the issues which are most important to them and the campaigns they run on behalf of local people. Although I voted against the Iraq War, we must not lose sight of our brave troops doing a fine job in Iraq and Afghanistan under difficult circumstances – or forget them once they return home. |
In 2003, I attempted to change the law through a Private Member’s Bill in the House of Commons. My Greenbelt Protection Bill introduced the twin-track approach I still believe is necessary. |
